What We Do and What It Costs

Who We Help Best

If you’re spending hours every week struggling to get a usable transcript…

Cleaning up messy AI output…

Waiting on a volunteer…

Sometimes not getting it done at all…

…then this is for you.

SermonScribe works best for churches that regularly publish sermon transcripts (or wish they could) and care about how transcripts represent their ministry.

THE AI ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

AI is all the rage right now, and many AI tools advertise a 95% accuracy rate. Sounds great, right?

But here’s the thing…

A single-spaced transcript usually has about 500 words per page, and most people speak at a rate of about 150 words per minute.

So at a 5% error rate, that means…

AI’s Error Rate:

  • 1 error every 20 words

  • 1 error every 8 seconds

  • hundreds of errors per transcript

YIKES.

And do you know what’s even worse?

That’s just accounting for the wrong word errors.

Those (already awful) numbers get exponentially worse when you account for things like:

  • misspelled names

  • mangled Scripture references

  • messy formatting

  • incorrect punctuation and capitalization

  • theological terms the software doesn’t recognize

  • words in other languages (Greek, Hebrew, Latin, etc.)

The accuracy ratings AI tools use have nothing to do with any of those things.

And here’s what most people don't realize:

Cleaning all that up? It takes HOURS. Not minutes.

We know.

Because churches have asked us to do it.

And we don't accept that type of work anymore because it takes twice as long to fix a messy AI transcript than it does to start from scratch.

SermonScribe promises 99.9% accuracy or your money back.

And that DOES include all of the things listed above.

THE SERMONSCRIBE DIFFERENCE

SermonScribe transcripts have been THE professional standard for sermon transcription since 2008.

That’s because we understand that getting it right means more than just slapping words onto paper.

Every transcript is produced by a professional transcriptionist who handles not just the words but everything that makes a transcript actually usable. Here's what that includes:

🗹 Custom Transcript Design

We’ll design a transcript template that matches your brand, including your logo in the header of the transcript. Your custom-designed transcript will have your choice of line-spacing, formatting, and a custom header and footer.

🗹 No Editing Needed

Your transcripts will be ready to be posted online or printed and shared with others immediately. You won’t have to edit them for accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, paragraph breaks, hyperlinks, or formatting. We handle it all.

🗹 Exclusive Download Service

Want us to keep an eye on your website and download new files when they’re posted so you don’t have to send them? No problem! Easy, seamless, no-fuss process.

🗹 Monthly Invoicing

For weekly service, you’ll get an invoice once a month and have up to 30 days to make your payment with ACH, credit card, PayPal, or check. If you have a large bulk order, we’ll come up with a payment plan that works with your budget.

🗹 Bible verse accuracy

We’ll look up every verse to make sure you didn't mean to say 1 Kings when you said 2 Kings or verses 2-8 when you said verses 3-9 or the name Elijah when you said Elisha. Looking up the verses is also important because if you said, “In Psalm 29 it says...,” it’s impossible to know whether you meant chapter 29 or chapter 20, verse 9, without looking it up.

🗹 Hebrew/Greek words

We’ll look up the correct spelling of Hebrew and Greek words in the Strong's Concordance and if we’re still stumped, we’ll put a blank and time stamp for you.

🗹 Grammar correction and light editing

We will leave out the uhs and ums, laughs and coughs, and “Hey Bill, I don’t think my microphone is on...” We’ll correct grammar, leave out crutch words and phrases (like Andy Stanley’s infamous “Listen, listen...”), and recast sentences so they read more smoothly.

🗹 Bible Verse Formatting

We’ll format all Bible verses in your choice of bold, italics, and/or color to differentiate between direct biblical quotes and paraphrases.

🗹 Proofreading

This is one of the most important steps we take in the transcription process for you. Every transcript will be proofread by an experienced sermon transcript proofreader/editor to ensure not just accuracy but consistency as well. We do our best to make sure all your transcripts look like they were transcribed by one person, even though in reality they will have been transcribed by multiple people with multiple styles. This is especially important if you’re using the transcripts as the foundation of a book manuscript.

How many ways can you reach people
beyond Sunday with one sermon?

Once you have a clean, accurate transcript, you have the raw material for almost everything else your ministry produces. Churches use SermonScribe transcripts for:

  • Shut-in ministries

  • Hard-of-hearing ministries

  • Prison ministries

  • Hospital ministries

  • Missionary work

  • Memorial service keepsake

  • Membership courses

  • First-time visitor gifts

  • Retiring pastor gifts

  • Website SEO

  • Newsletters

  • Blog posts

  • Social media posts

  • Small group study guides

  • Daily email devotionals

  • Mini e-books/full book manuscripts

  • Leadership and team training

  • Searchable archive

Posting transcripts on your website each week means your sermon lives beyond Sunday. Instead of being heard once and then gone, it becomes something people can come back to, share with a friend, or find when they need it most. It also makes your content searchable, which means someone who has never heard of your church can find your sermon because they were looking for an answer to a question they were wrestling with, not because they were specifically looking for a sermon.

SermonScribe is for churches that want sermon transcripts they can confidently post, share, repurpose, and preserve.
